GPS tracking or your money back
Full GPS tracking is carried out on every route of every job. This is completed by each individual distributor as they cover your area in or around Nottingham, Mansfield, Derby or Burton.
The files are compiled in a shared folder and emailed over to you upon completion. You can view and/or download your tracking maps, and we’ll also keep them on file for a minimum of six months if you ever need to refer back to them.
Sick of companies promising GPS tracking and not supplying any? Me too! We all know where those flyers ended up. Here at Leaflet Lion, we offer a no-questions-asked, automatic refund on any untracked areas of your campaign.
Our policy is there as a safety net for your business in case of any technical issues, but other than that, we just crack on, get our steps in and send you the tracking at the end of each job.
Zero outsourcing
Unlike many other leaflet distribution companies, we’ll only ever use our own delivery team, rather than shipping it out to whoever we can get to do it for the lowest price. As you can imagine, this never ends well.
The team here at Leaflet Lion are experienced, trusted, and most have worked with us for five years or more.
Solus & solus+1 plans only
For maximum campaign visibility, we’ll only ever deliver your leaflet on its own or with a maximum of one other non-competing flyer. Your important marketing message will never be hidden inside a pizza menu or Farmfoods leaflet, guaranteed!
- Solus+1 Plan – Your flyer delivered with a maximum of one other, non-competing business.
- Solus Plan – Your flyer is delivered entirely independently for the highest possible visibility.
Invoicing & payment terms
Full payment is due before printing or the start of your door drop. This is standard practice with any distribution business, including the Royal Mail. Your invoice is due on Wednesday, the week before your distribution slot starts. If you’re also printing with us, the invoice is due eight days before the distribution slot starts.
Payments and invoicing are handled by our providers, Monzo and Stripe. Our account details will be on your invoice, or to make life easier, you can also pay by easy bank transfer in just a few clicks.
Pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay – To pay by card or your phone’s payment app, simply select card payment instead of easy bank transfer after you’ve clicked the Pay Online button.
A missed payment deadline may result in your job being cancelled.
Collecting your leaflets
If you’ve had the leaflets printed yourself, we’ll gladly collect them from you. Distribution jobs of 5k or more include one free collection. The flyers must be based locally (in or around Nottingham, Mansfield, Derby, Burton-on-Trent) to qualify.
If the flyers are outside of these areas, they may need to be sent to us. We’ll discuss and arrange this before your job starts.
Restrictions and additional charges
The standard pricing per thousand listed on our website (£100 for solus+1 flexible areas, £125 for solus+1 specified areas and £165 for solus specified areas) is based on:
- The main residential areas (based on the city borders) of Nottingham, Mansfield, Derby and Burton-on-Trent.
- Solus+1 plans – maximum flyer size of A5 or a leaflet size of A4 folded to A5.
- Solus plans – Maximum flyer size of A4 or leaflet size of A3 folded to A4.
- Up to a 300gsm paper stock.
Areas outside the main city borders and heavier materials, such as multipage booklets, will incur additional charges and will only be available on the solus plan.
Minimum quantities
- Solus plan – 1k upwards.
- Solus+1 plan – 5k upwards.
Note: Any job below 5000 would also need to include print.
Properties we don’t deliver to
Although we blanket cover the agreed area for your campaign, there are certain properties that we don’t deliver to:
- No junk mail signs or anything with similar wording.
- Businesses or commercial properties.
- Dogs running free, or beware of the dog signs.
- Fenced/gated properties with their front door open, or anywhere there’s a likely possibility of a dog appearing.
- Student halls of residence.
- Properties that have blocked the view of their front door (high fences and gates).
- Secluded properties or long driveways without being able to see the property.
- Properties with no visible front door or letterbox.
- Flats or apartments, unless the postboxes are on the outside.
- Residential schemes or sheltered housing.
- Park home sites (unless specifically requested).
Additionally, if a property is having work completed outside, is receiving a delivery, or has any other similar obstructions between the distributor and the letterbox, it may not be delivered to.
How long does it take?
Each job is on a two-week turnaround, as standard with any of the specified area plans. The solus plan comes with a priority turnaround, meaning we’ll always try to get these out first. The lower-cost, flexible area plan is a four-week turnaround.
Larger jobs often require a longer turnaround, which we’ll discuss and agree upon before starting your campaign.
Need an express turnaround? If we have the availability, we can work with your last-minute requirements at an extra cost. This ranges from 25% to 100% of your total distribution fee, depending on how urgent your turnaround time is.
